OK, so I tried it. Installed it on Win7 64, set-up a simple Project. Opened the Project file in Located the duplicated source video file. And the project opened without any problems. I think a lot of people seeing this appear on the Windows side of the fence would be looking at it in terms of a reliable and comprehensive, open source any yes, cross-platform alternative to the commercial NLE suites that are out there. KDenLive already has a number of pro-level features that would separate it from the consumer level crop — videoscopes, usable Curves and now even LUT import. Hell, even the Linux penguin makes the suits shudder at times.

This is awesome! I am teaching media courses at different schools and have only been waiting for a NLE that is powerful but also free so that schools and students can install and use it. I will now use Kdenlive in my courses and /15671.txt for every course I finish!
